National Reporting System

What people are saying about the NRS project

The templates for data analysis are like gold to us. [We] truly appreciate the preparation that went into putting these resources together. Very high quality training.
 –Data Detective Training Participant

The [Desk Monitoring] training was excellent; the team from Montana that attended your training left with a proposed desk top monitoring tool and rubric…we accomplished in three days what would have taken months for us to do on our own. Thanks to this training,  Montana Adult Basic Education Programs will have a valuable resource for making informed instructional decisions, and I will be able to manage and monitor statewide data, make decisions regarding professional development, and provide technical assistance according the priorities we have defined.
–Margaret Bowles, Montana State Director

[W]ith the assistance of the AIR team, we feel Georgia now has one of the best student data collection and reporting systems in the country.  In addition, as we continue to expand our system, we look forward to a continued relationship with AIR.
–Josephine Reed-Taylor, Assistant Commissioner, Georgia Office of Adult Literacy

The assistance that the AIR staff has provided one-on-one for Texas has been most helpful. As a result, adult education has gained respect from other state agencies since we can put our hands on the details, guidelines, and process quickly and correctly. I personally appreciate the assistance because you cared enough to ask for feedback from the field and you used it to make improvements. Data quality with high integrity is the result of our relationship with AIR.
–Joanie Rethlake, Adult Education Director, Texas

The NRS website is how I keep up-to-date on changes, download the implementation guidelines, and find resources from trainings and webinars.  The new format for the Implementation Guidelines has a more logical flow to it, and I find it easier to locate what I need.
–Israel Mendoza, State Director, Washington Office of Adult Basic Education

As a result of AIR’s training titled "Data Detective" we used several of the hand-on activities in trainings for our local programs. We feel this was helpful and made staff review the data more carefully before submitting the site rollover request indicating their data was complete for the fiscal year.
–Donna Cornellier, SMARTT ABE Project Manager, Massachusetts Department of Education.

We utilized the information from this training to enhance our accountability model, and the trainers who conduct the NRS training are extremely professional, very well prepared, and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the sessions. The format often involves a lot of discussion and group work which allows for a hands-on approach to learning about the strategies that are presented. These interventions have continued to raise local program awareness of the relation between their program practices and the outcomes as evidenced in the data.
–Ajit Golapakrishna, Technology/Assessment Consultant, Connecticut Department of Education

AIR staff [has] always been available to answer my questions.  What a great support for us.
–Marcia Hess, South Dakota Adult Education Director
