The Adult Education Content Standards Warehouse provides easy access to a wide range of standards to assist adult educators in developing content standards for English language acquisition, mathematics, and reading.

The U.S. Department of Education's (ED) searchable site can be used to obtain publications and products. Information on ED-sponsored research and statistics and funding opportunities, as well as news and events, can be accessed through this site.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) site contains information on DOL programs and services, laws, and regulations. It also features a listing of DOL agencies; searchable libraries (speeches, publications, and press releases); and data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The National Institute for Literacy serves as a resource for the literacy community. The Institute assists in addressing urgent national priorities, such as upgrading the workforce, reducing welfare dependency, and raising the standard of living. The National Institute for Literacy site provides many forums and listservs that are useful to adult educators.

The National Center on Adult Literacy's (NCAL) mission is to improve understanding of adult learning, foster innovation, and increase effectiveness in adult basic education and literacy work, as well as expand access to information and build capacity for adult literacy and basic skills service provision. The NCAL site contains information on research projects and reports and hosts a database that can be searched according to literacy topics.

The National Center for Research in Vocational Education (NCRVE) is the Nation's largest center for research and development in work-related education. The NCRVE has played a key role in developing a new concept of vocational education as the Center works toward fulfilling its mission to strengthen education to prepare all individuals for lasting and rewarding employment and lifelong learning.

The National Center for the Study of Writing and Literacy Web site provides information on completed research projects, publications and resources, and workshops.

The International Literacy Institute provides leadership in research, development, and training in the broad field of international literacy and development, with an emphasis on developing countries. The site provides a list of projects and publications, a calendar of literacy events, and useful links to other international literacy and education sites.

The System for Adult Basic Education Support (SABES) is a comprehensive training and technical assistance initiative for educators and programs. SABES came into being chiefly to help Adult Basic Education (ABE) practitioners further develop the skills, talents, and knowledge needed to provide exemplary educational services to adult learners.

The National Adult Education Professional Development Consortium (NAEPDC) was incorporated in 1990 to fulfill a desire of State adult education staff to enhance their professional development. The NAEPDC plans programs and activities to support adult learning initiatives.

PRO-NET 2000, an adult education professional development project, is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE). This 3 year project, which began in 2000, is housed at the American Institutes for Research. The project builds on the professional development activities supported by OVAE over the past 10 years.

The Adult Literacy Education (ALE) Wiki provides useful information for adult literacy education teachers, other practitioners, and researchers on adult literacy education research and professional wisdom.

The National Center for the Study of Adult Learning and Literacy (NCSALL) is the research center for adult education operated by the Harvard School of Education and World Education.

The National Center for ESL Literacy Education (NCLE) has resources on adult ESL, research, and policy.

The National Reporting System for Adult Education (NRS) is administered by the Division of Adult Education and Literacy in the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education.
