2011 Facilitated Online Course: Developing an NRS Report Card

The goal of the NRS report card facilitated online training is to introduce state and program staff to the concept of using report cards for purposes of informing, evaluating, or promoting state and local programs. Report cards are useful tools that go beyond performance reports to evaluate and understand programs

NRS 2011-2012 Evaluation Learning Community Training
December 7-8, Washington, DC
The ELC will bring together states interested in using NRS and other data to conduct research on issues related to adult education and literacy. Participating states will develop a data analysis plan based on the latest research, work with other states with common interests to develop joint or complementary work, conduct analyses and prepare reports. The ELC is an intensive PD approach that offers an exciting opportunity to make significant contributions to research in the adult education field. This training is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education.

The NRS project director, Larry Condelli, and his team will present a series of three webinars for state leaders in adult education this winter. The three webinars will cover changes to the NRS Guide, Implementation Issues and Questions, and Sampling Procedures for the Follow-up Survey. This is a great opportunity for state leaders to prepare for the 2012 calendar year with the NRS.
The audience for the live webinars is limited to state staff. Access instructions have been emailed to state directors. The webinar recordings will be made available to all on NRSWeb following each event.
