Every few months NRS eNotes highlight additions and attractions of the NRSWeb site, as well as inform you of any upcoming events. Forward this on to other adult education staff in your state and encourage others to sign up to eNotes by emailing nrs@air.org!

NRS Summer Regional Training: Building and Sustaining Quality NRS Data

Thank you to all who helped to make the training successful!

This year, the trainings were held in:

  • San Francisco, CA with 29 participants from 15 states;

  • Austin, TX with 22 participants from 10 states; and

  • Bethesda, MD with 45 participants from 22 states.

The training materials are all available on the Training & Activities page of the NRSWeb site. On this web page you will find materials for download including the following:

  • Training Guide

  • Facilitation and Professional Development materials (including handouts and the Jeopardy! game)

  • Excel Data Planning Tool for Building and Sustaining Change

  • State PowerPoint Presentations

  • Other Resources

Starting soon! Distance Education Course “NRS Basics: An Introduction to the NRS”    

NRS is preparing a new distance education course focused on the basics of the NRS.  This 5-week facilitated online course will allow participants to complete weekly lessons around his or her own schedule.

A pilot of the course will be launched this Fall and the first NRS Basics course will start in January.  Watch for more information about the distance education course later this year.
