  • Each local provider's contract with the Arizona Department of Education includes assurances of compliance with ADE reporting policies and procedures. State staff evaluates data at least monthly and ongoing discussions and technical assistance efforts verify that providers are following state policies and procedures.
  • The system that has been developed is as follows: Local providers are required to enter their data at least monthly. State staff reviews the data of every provider at least monthly. Federal Reporting Tables are generated for each provider as well as the state aggregate. Tables 4 and 5 are scrutinized for indications of goal cohort or assessment issues. State staff look for consistency in employment status, cohort membership, age eligibility, and miscellaneous demographic information. Student assessment history screens are evaluated, as are follow-up records and data input frequency. When issues are observed in the data, the state staff contacts the local program director via telephone, email or site visit. Many statewide, regional and program-specific training workshops have been provided as a result of issues identified by state staff analysis of the data. These include goal identification and follow-up training at director and teacher levels, CLAS-E and TABE standardized assessment administration training (both initial and refresher), and intensive, targeted technical assistance sessions for individual local program directors and staff.
