Did You Know ...?

…The State of Hawaii Department of Education adult education program recently held their first-ever state conference, “Charting a Course to Success”. This historic conference included national trainers from LINCS as well as national vendors such as ETS and McGraw-Hill. Also, in attendance, were stakeholders from state agencies involved in the development of Hawaii’s Unified State Plan. The instructors who attended the conference are now responsible to complete the built-in assignments that foster new technologies.

Data Tools for Monitoring and Program Improvement
    • Monthly desk monitoring was implemented at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. Daily support is available and inconsistencies and errors are identified and repaired. When errors are not corrected in a timely fashion, a corrective action plan may be instituted and more frequent monitoring may result.
    • Data collection, goal-setting and follow-up procedures have been a priority focus for the past two years. Campus data managers are apprised of NRS and data updates during monthly meetings.
