Data Tools for Monitoring and Program Improvement:

Nevada uses on-site technical assistance visits, on-site program monitoring visits, telephone and e-mail technical assistance, networking meetings, and local and regional trainings on data issues to ensure local programs comply with state and NRS guidelines. The state reviews local program data to identify problems and provide technical assistance.

Nevada provides guidance and instruction on state data collection procedures to local programs. The LACES software has quality control edit checks that identify correct and incorrect assessments. The state provides local programs with test administration manuals, technical manuals, state guideline, and training. State trainers provide training on procedures for proper assessment for placement and progress. The state and local programs use LACES reports for placement, learning gains, accountability, and core performance measures.
